DESTINATION
Palazzo Versace Dubai, Culture Village, Dubai Creek.
Welcome to Culture Village, Dubai.
Originally a small fishing and trading village, Dubai was made up of three distinct areas. Deira was its commercial centre, while Shindagha, on a narrow strip of land separating the sea from the creek, was the main residential district. Deira’s souq, lined with typically narrow covered passageways, was the public market: the largest in the region.
Culture Village is set to become the historical hub of Dubai and has been created to celebrate the importance of the Creek in Dubai’s cultural evolution. Featuring traditional wind towers, cobblestone walkways and souks, as well as galleries and museums, the precinct will showcase the best of the regions artists and designers. Visitors to Culture Village will be able to soak up the vibrant cultural atmosphere while enjoying the sophisticated waterside cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
